Sr Research Associate
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Research Associate, are to:
Perform generalized greenhouse work such as planting, propagation, watering, fertilizing, harvesting and maintaining various crop plants;
Maintain greenhouses and work areas;
Assist in experimental preparation by planting, maintaining, collecting data and harvesting according to specific protocols;
Collect plant tissue samples for various research purposes;
Use electronic equipment (computer, barcode scanners, cameras, seed counters or physiological data collection devices).

B.S. degree in a scientific subject OR Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education that will support this position;
Understanding of plant growth and development;
Demonstrated ability to follow defined procedures and work in a team environment;
Keen attention to detail to recognize and report problems;
Strong organizational and communication skills;
Able to work 40 hours per week in fluctuating climates and lift 50 pounds;
Weekend work and travel maybe required.
