ADM Edible Bean Specialties is seeking a qualified candidate for ingredient sales to work with its domestic origination group on promoting pulse based ingredients to the North American food marketPulse crops include dry beans, dry peas, chickpeas and lentils, as well as black-eyed peas and several othersThe successful candidate will be a self-motivated, confident individual with an interest in the movement of functional pulse based ingredients from origin to end-use market and attention to detail of the steps to get it thereThe initial focus will be on dry bean ingredients with the opportunity to expand into other pulse ingredients under the direction of WFSI Sales and GM Edible Bean SpecialtiesJob Responsibilities:
Develops and executes a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitabilityPrepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospectsInitiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets according to the strategic roadmap of the EBSI business Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfactionAssists in the development and implementation of marketing and trade show plans relative to their assigned market segmentProvides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit marginMaintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, activity reports and contract balancesCreates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responsesAbility to call on RD/technical groups to sell value-added ingredients with ability to sell solutions based on stated needs of a technical audienceCalculates and assembles quotes to customers and negotiate as necessary to secure contractsProvide detailed reporting to the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing through the use of Salesforce and other communication toolsControls expenses to meet budget guidelinesAdheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the teamDemonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees Job Requirements:
Role 1: 4-7 years of experience in flour and baked goods sales management Role 2: 4-7 years of experience across snacks, breakfast cereals, bars, beverages, pastas, starch, meat applications, meat-free entrees and fillings segmentsRole 3: 4-7 years of experience in food ingredient sales Minimum of 8 years of commercial experience – sales, marketing, business developmentBachelor's Degree required, MBA or related advanced degree is desirableExtensive experience in all aspects of supplier relationship managementStrong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements<
