US SoybeanOperations professional to join our Agricultural Products Division (APN). Sr. Supply Chain Inventory Coordinator? US Soybean Operations ? Memphis, TN As a Sr. Supply Chain InventoryCoordinator ? US Soybean Operations professional, your primaryresponsibilities will fall within Inventory Management and Master DataManagement. The Sr. Supply Chain InventoryCoordinator is responsible for supply chain coordination and inventory controlof our 23 commercial tollers and 4 foundation seed plants, with management ofCredenz finished seed inventories. Thisposition is responsible for managing process orders, posting finishedinventories, consumption of direct materials, inventory classifications &release, and general inventory analysis, using our ERP/SAP systems. Also, isresponsible as logistics transportation planner as it relates to raw andfinished inventories at Dewitt and 3rd party tollers. In addition, this role isresponsible for management of all master data including creation of newmaterials, materials extensions, and related BOM?s, recipes, and costing, etc. Formula for Success: You Will?Inventory Management(70%): ? Responsiblefor supply chain coordination and management of all soybean seed finishedinventories within the network of 23 commercial seed production tollers, and 4foundation seed plants, and BASF?s Dewitt, AR plant, all as part the US Credenzsoybean seeds business.? Actsas logistics transportation planner for Dewitt site and network of soybean seedproduction tolling sites. Responsible for planning & creating STO?s (Stocktransport Orders) moving raw and finished inventories from site-to-site, site-to-warehouses,etc. to ensure and uninterrupted flow of materials and continuous supply.? Leadsinventory control processes collaborating with the NA warehouse & logisticsteam, commercial production mgrs., quality, logistics, finance, and the Head ofSeeds Supply.? Responsiblefor the monthly and year-end cycle counting process and related inventoryadjustments and write-offs.? Worksclosely with Tolling Mgrs. and NA Soybean QM mgr. with investigating incidentsof non-conforming seed inventories, and manages the inventory reclass processto categorize seed as restricted, unrestricted, or blocked stock. ? Contributesto inventory variance/loss investigations to document findings, and identifyroot cause issues, and makes recommendations for implementation of correctiveand preventative actions to mitigate reoccurrence.? Alignsclosely with the commercial production mgrs., master planner, tolling logisticsmgr., foundation seeds mgr., and NA Soybean QM mgr. to lead/participate onbusiness improvement initiatives as they relate to inventory process &procedures.? Monitors3rd party lab testing results and reports, and maintains/updates inventoryclasses to ensure all seed inventory batches meet standards prior to approvalfor shipment. ? Collaborateswith warehousing and distribution team to prepare training materials, andconducts on-site training to tolling sites and owned facilities as it relatesto inventory management, inventory cycle counting, and reporting completedprocess orders & related bagging reports.? Assistsmaster planner and tolling logistics mgr. with finished seed inventory analysismaking recommendations for capturing opportunities for rework, consumption ofslow-moving raw materials, and timely disposal of non- conforming or obsoletematerials.? Maintainsa comprehensive log of all active process orders, finished lots, inventorytraceability from raw bushels to finished units, and tracks current status andprojected dates for release for shipment. ? Skilledsystems ?super user? of SAP as it relates to inventory managementfunctions. ? Masteryof desk top tools to perform data extractions/downloads from SAP, creates BWreports, builds charts/graphs, KPI?s, etc. to perform inventory analysis. Presents and interprets the data to assistHead of Seeds Supply with making data driven decisions to help cost managementand improve seed production operations? Supervisesother seasonal employees and/or contractors who support inventory activities.? Attendsand participates in monthly safety training, tool box meetings, and ensuresseasonal & contract employees follow all safety policies. May lead one or more safety programs for thesite.? Assistsas needed in soybean seed operations or other assignments as directed bymanagement.Master Data Management(30%):? Responsibleto create new materials for commercial seed, foundation seed, and agronomicservices for all soybean varieties at the sku level, collaborating closely withcommercial production managers, foundation seed manager, master planner, andglobal seeds master data personnel. ? Responsibleto create/maintain BOM?s and recipes for all materials and to ensure accurateconsumption of raw seed bushels and direct materials associated with newprocess orders, rework process orders, and inventory ?reclass? orders.? Analyzestreatment materials and formulations and application rates, includingadjustments to loss factors, to ensure standard costs are accurate and matchedwith consumption rates. ? Managesmaterials extension requests, and resolves BOM, recipe, and costing issues.? Interfaceswith finance and controlling to obtain accurate costing information for masterdata, frequently analyzes materials to ensure costing is accurate, and performsperiodic analysis to ensure cost variances are minimized. Participates inmonthly financial variance review meetings.? Leadsthe annual end-of-season master data ?cleanup? process to delete master data nolonger utilized as products end their life cycles, updates BOM?s, recipes toreflect process changes, and updates costing to align with new budgets andchanges to direct materials costs.? Coordinatesand acts in the capacity of liaison between soybean seeds supply team, and theglobal seeds master data team.? Participatesin weekly Production S&OE meetings to provide updates on productioncampaigns and assists production sites with production issues as it relates toinventory or master data issues. ? Providesguidance and supervision as it relates to master data to site personnel and 3rdparty locations.? Leads/participateson master data related process improvement teams/projects. Value added to thesuccess of the company ? Responsiblefor working with quality, warehouse, HSE and other stakeholders to ensure theraw materials inventory is maintained accurately, which provides the basis foraccurate Material Requirements planning and accurate reporting of the inventoryasset in financial reports.? Processinformation from cross functional teams and have the ability to independentlydetermine the best solutions for the business.? Independentlymake decisions that will impact the planning, manufacturing and reportingprocesses. Expected to be someone who is considered an expert within theirfield and will be sought for counsel from others. ? Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You??BA/BS in the field of supply chain, agronomy, seed science, plant science, agricultural economics, or a related discipline.
?5-7 years of experience in production agriculture, seed production, seed logistics, or agribusiness; or 10-12 years of systems and materials management experience, or applicable business experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics.?APICS certified or cGMP?s is preferred, six sigma or lean experience desired.?Knowledge of SAP cycle counting, inventory control techniques ?This position requires excellent analytical, computer, and written and oral communication skills.?Requires an understanding of Sales, Marketing, QA/QC, Cost Accounting, and Production environments to effectively interface with other departments.?Material management experience in agriculture, or seeds industry preferred.?Possess the leadership skill sets required to gain buy in, trust and credibility with key customers, 3rd Party Commercial Tolling Sites, and other business partners.
