Sr Supv Rendering
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervision of all general edible and inedible Rendering related activities, Loadout, Sanitation, and coordinate mechanical support. Qualified candidates will possess knowledge of edible and inedible rendering operations with the ability to operate multi-function systems as well as possess good mechanical aptitude. Good general knowledge of OSHA regulations, ability to lead others through good example and communication. Must display the ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as display sound judgment, leadership and ability to learn quickly as to avoid any downtime and insure quality production. This position is responsible for the supervision of Rendering Team Members, for quality, safety, and any additional assignments deemed appropriate, by management, for this position. The individual in this position must work closely with the management team in achieving objectives; accept full accountability, assignments and day-to-day department responsibility; must be a team player. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.REQUIREMENTS:Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience: At least one (1) year experience in the meat industry (Pork or Beef ). Rendering operations experience preferred
Must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques; food safety; product yields, and USDA regulations.Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual skills helpful. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.Supervisory: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various rendering/production tasks or activities. Ensure compliance with all human resource and safety policies, food safety, sanitation and all other duties as determined by management. Primarily 3rd shift but must have the ability to work any shift.
