CHS has an opportunity in our Country Operations Division. We are looking for a Store Manager at Ogallala, NE. You must have excellent customer service skills along with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will:Manage the overall operation of a retail store including hiring, discipline, and scheduling of employees to ensure cost effective and quality store operations.Attain monthly and annual performance objectives for the store and the employees as set by business unit management.Hire employees, train employees to perform their duties competently and safely; coach/counsel employees, conduct performance reviews, and take appropriate corrective and disciplinary action with employees.Ensure all customers receive excellent service including quick, tactful handling of complaints.Ensure that sales are generated at the highest practical level. Direct store marketing activities and promotion programs to increase sales and market share.Attain and maintain proper inventory levels to fulfill customer needs and wants within company guidelines.Be a part of a team that develops and establishes growth strategies to support sales and revenue objectives for the cooperative?s feed business.Oversee and ensure all corporate policy, local, state, and federal government regulations are adhered to and required compliance documentation is complete.Ensure that safety procedures and accident handling procedures are followed.Ensure buildings, equipment and grounds are clean and inviting; that merchandise is properly stocked, rotated and clean.Complete and balance paperwork and deposits, neatly and accurately according to company guidelines.Monitor cashier, vendor and customer activity to discover theft or dishonesty.Enforce and uphold the credit policy.Fully understand and be able to perform the job description for the position of store clerk.Keep abreast of feed industry trends or changes to accurately answer patron inquiries.Deliver products to customers when applicable.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)High School diploma or GED.2 years of retail sales experience.2 years of industry experience.Computer Skills.Able to lift 50 lbs.Ability to adapt to changing working conditions and available for extra time and effort when the need exists.Valid driver?s license.Preferred Qualifications: (desired)2 or 4-year degree in Business Management or related program.Supervisory experience.Apply for this job.
