Strategic Pricing Manager

??Position Purpose:?The Strategic Pricing Manager will lead the Strategic Pricing function, including the development, implementation and execution of the Strategic Pricing process across CTS AMCAS and SSNA businesses.? The Strategic Pricing Manager will optimize the pricing and approach, coordinate and align within the BUs globally, and will also be responsible for the strategic development and business optimization of the long term contracts portfolio.? The Strategic Pricing Manager will coordinate closely with the Competitive Excellence (CE) team, ensuring that pricing capabilities are aligned with company best practices and incorporate the latest tools and processes from the pricing community.?Principal Accountabilities:?30% StrategyExpand and optimize the use of established pricing best practices and tools across the CTS AMCAS and SSNA businesses to drive profitability; identify synergies and opportunities for collaboration
Collaborate with product line managers and Sales Leaders to set pricing targets to maximize profitability and to anticipate market changes, utilizing all available information (strategy, market, cost, competition etc.)
Partner with regional directors to drive FIBI commercial objectives to drive growth and sustained business results
Build an improved approach to pricing related to segmentation, market insights, specific customer requirements and added value service. Execute and follow up of the strategy with the product line managers
Expand the use of pricing tools, best practices and optimization to additional product lines
Support the sales teams in customer negotiations for contracting discussions
Keep constant track of cost/price from different locations to the different markets and drive the sales teams to pro-active selling and margin optimization
Maintain pricing subject matter expertise, staying abreast of developments and best practices20% Business ResultsManage the strategic pricing process and thus support the achievement of 1) Financial business objectives and 2) specific customer and market targets using the customer segmentation process and other tools
Optimize the margin structure in CTS AMCAS and SSNA contracting processes across product lines
Determine 3 year goals and achieve financial targets
Develop value proposals and pricing strategies by customer and market segment 30% LeadershipProvide clear guidance, support, leadership and change management in the execution of different pricing strategies
Mentor and coach the commercial team and work closely with the product line, sales, marketing, and finance teams
Provide strong leadership to identify and execute on actions to improve profitability. Partner with other functions to ensure changes result in sustainable value creation
Ensure alignment of priorities across businesses to maximize the use of resources and application of tools, processes and best practices20% ProcessEnsure development and implementation of the strategic pricing process; expand to additional product lines
Develop tools and processes to improve quality and delivery efficiency of pricing function
Optimize connection with adjacent commercial processes like customer segmentation, SFDC tracking (ingredient footprints and NBD projects), and customer contact process and marketing
Coordinating activities across multiple markets and geographies.This position is posted internally as well as externallySkills:
Required QualificationsBachelor?s degree
Fluent in English
5 years minimum commercial experience
Experience executing pricing, such as pricing strategy, price setting, deal prices and pricing analytics
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of customer needs
Process mind-set
A leader who will guide the transformation of the business unit?s pricing function
Communication, Influence, Persuasion Capabilities
Keen sense of priorities and outspoken advocate of the bottom line
Strong Project and Change Management experience
Tenacious, hands-on mentality, capable of executing under pressure
Analytical proficiency to derive insights from large and complex sets of business data
Strong negotiation skillsPreferred QualificationsMBA
Project Management and Change Management experience
Understanding / work experience of risk-management and tools
Management of cost-based long term contracts
Experience working across core business functions, such as marketing, product-line management, merchandizing, operations, finance, sales, and supply chain
Experience developing or working with inputs to pricing, such as the business strategy, market analysis, customer segmentation, value models, and competitive intelligence
Financial knowledge for P&L and margin/price decision making
