Strategy and Design Project Manager – #01B6D
Monsanto is seeking an exceptionally talented Strategy and Design Project Manager to become an integral member of our Global Breeding Organization by joining our multidisciplinary Digital Innovations team. The person will provide strategic technical and project leadership in a fast paced R&D team environment to accelerate development of breeding IT tools and enable 30% increase in genetic gain. The successful candidate must have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, a proven track record of solving challenging and complex problems, as well as a strong commitment to achieving results. Responsibilities include:Directly responsible for overseeing, guiding and execution of Breeding Pipeline Optimization (BPO) and Prescriptive Product Placement (PPP) capital projects with Enterprise IT Driving the development and implementation of major IT tools to improve molecular marker workflows, pipeline connectivity and analytics, and field to plot project execution Understand Breeding???s IT needs and work directly with Enterprise IT, Scientists, Breeders, TOMs, and enabling teams to align priorities with key organizational strategic areas Act as a scientific liaison between breeding and Enterprise IT Help define a short and long term development strategy for breeding software Assist with software testing, deployment, training, user adoption, and software documentation Posses creative (out of the box) thinking to identify opportunities for new IT/Mobility tools to enhance pipeline results or enable process efficienciesQualifications:Required Skills/Experience:B.S. in Plant Breeding/Genetics/Agronomy/Computer Science or related fields of study Strong background in plant breeding, genetics, molecular marker technologies and IT Proven record of innovation and process improvement in a program management Excellent organizational and record keeping skills, and the ability to foster a positive team environment Effective verbal and written communication skills Experience in managing multiple projects with shifting priorities Demonstrated track record of solving challenging and complex analytical problemsDesired Skills:M.S. preferred Plant Breeding ExperienceApply for this job.
