Assignments will be developmental in nature and will assist the employee in gaining the competencies necessary for a career.?ResponsibilitiesPerforms developmental assignments to enable the employee to process soil samples that are received from projects across the country and the world.Performs developmental assignments to enable the employee to analyze soil samples through a variety of scientific instruments for soil properties such as particle size distribution, pH, bulk density, organic carbon and cation exchange capacity.Learns and applies quality control processes for analyses.Performs duties in a manner supportive of civil rights policy without regard to political affiliation, race, color, religion, sex, marital status, age, handicap, or national origin.Performs work in a high throughput research and production soil laboratory.Learns and strictly adheres to laboratory safety and regulatory protocols.Performs assigned duties in the time allowed, in a conscientious manner, with high level of scientific integrity.Prepares and maintains various records and reports as required.?Travel RequiredOccasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position.?Supervisory statusNo?Promotion Potential4Apply for this job.
