Come grow with us!?General Purpose and Scope of Position:The position is responsible for ensuring the daily maintenance of all application and support equipment at the assigned location and including the management and development of shop/equipment staff.? The position is responsible for the effective and efficient repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality in accordance with Wilbur Ellis standards and those of other monitoring agencies.? The individual in this position will assist in the processing of repair and warranty work.? The individual will also advise and recommend changes and improvements to the Branch or Operations Manager as needed to ensure smooth operation of the facility.?Key Skills and Abilities Include:High school diploma or achievement of high school diploma equivalent (GED), Bachelor?s Degree preferred3 to 5 years of experience in a retail, manufacturing or distribution warehouse management role with experience in advanced skill level usage of forklift and equipment repair equipmentMust have excellent mechanical skillsAbility to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipmentPrevious supervisory or management experience preferredAbility to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer serviceWillingness to operate material handling equipment including skid steer bucket and forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment as requiredAbility to bend and lift boxes and bags up to 65 lbsWilling and desires to work overtime hours during busy seasons?Key Personal Attributes Include:Maintain a neat appearance and convey professionalism with customersWillingness to work as a team and assume any task when requestedPossess quality decision-making capability and mental alertness to ensure safetyMust be reliable and punctual when reporting to workStrong oral and written communication skillsHigh level of professionalismExcellent attention to detail?Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Ensures the daily maintenance of all application and support equipment at the branch facility/shop. Equipment includes trucks, tractors, implements and any other support equipment assigned to the specific branchResponsible for coaching, developing and retaining key employees, including giving performance feedback, making hiring and discipline recommendations, and identifying training opportunities for employee developmentParticipate in routine maintenance to include brakes, AC, suspension, driveline, and other troubleshooting/diagnostics on branch equipmentPerforms extensive record-keeping as required by Wilbur Ellis and other monitoring agencies/departments both internal and external to Wilbur Ellis. Recordkeeping is required for the shop as well as the overall branch facility (yard, buildings, and other related infrastructure)Manage inventory of parts and supplies on hand at the shopChecks daily inspection reports to ensure appropriate measures are taken to resolve any mechanical issues before equipment returns to service. All equipment must be maintained in optimum operating condition including the support vehicles for the application equipmentReviews all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness concerning parts, materials and labor and approve the release of equipment for return to serviceApplies mechanical skills and understanding of fabrication techniques to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently for maximum productivity by usersAssists in the appraisal of repair work needed on equipment and advises Branch Manager of all costs, materials needed, etc. that exceeds normal scope of work expected on equipmentAssign jobs and work areas to shop personnel according to their skills and knowledge as required for maintaining efficient operation of all equipmentDirect and/or assist in maintaining the overall branch facility, including yard, buildings, and other related infrastructureMaintain technical and product knowledge for all equipment used within the shop foreman?s area of responsibilityProactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance skill set and knowledge baseFollow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbookMaintain a clean and safe working environment at all timesPerform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient mannerAll other duties as assigned?Compensation and Benefits:Competitive salary (to be determined based on experience and other factors)Comprehensive employee health and retirement benefit offerings?QualificationsExperience:?2 years:?Experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of small equipment, both diesel and gasoline type engines, and hydraulic equipment a strong plus?Job Code: TRUCK03655Apply for this job.
