Monsanto???s Global Supply Chain Procurement organization is looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager. Supplier Relationship Management is focused on deriving additional value from our supply base by strengthening the supplier relationship through partnering with suppliers, category management teams and stakeholders to develop business strategies that mitigate risk, uncover opportunities and advance innovation. This position is responsible for contributing to the development and ongoing management of Monsanto's Supplier Relationship Management for assigned categories in all regions (North America, LAS, EME and A&A) by driving continuous improvement strategies, processes and activities aimed at identifying and capturing value while at the same time reducing the total cost of ownership of direct and indirect materials and services. The successful candidate will work within the Global Procurement Organization to contribute to the development a world class supplier management program. The individual selected will play a key role in enabling the collaboration within the business stakeholders, procurement and quality organizations. This position will report directly to the Supplier Relationship Management Lead and will be located in St. Louis, MO. Key Responsibilities:Create, communicate, and implement Monsanto's Supplier Relationship Management vision, strategies, practices, and procedures across all business unitsContributes to the development of the supplier and commodity qualification processResponsible for commodity improvements aimed at reducing the total cost of ownership of direct and indirect materials and servicesContributes to the development and implementation of specifications and measurement systems, including supplier scorecards focusing on cost, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, sustainability and diversityDevelop and implement Monsanto's supplier integration process for new suppliersLead the organization and suppliers towards the objective of lowest cost of ownership supply chains employing appropriate continuous improvement tools including six sigmaWork with Category and Operations Teams to develop and implement supplier quality and integration strategies to achieve stated goals and objectivesQualifications:Required Skills/Experience:Bachelor???s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related fieldSuccessful 5+ year track record in a Global Procurement organization or equivalent manufacturing process experienceExpert in partnering, supplier quality, continuous improvement, influence at all levels of the organization, collaboration and cross-functional teamingAbility to work successfully in a heavily matrixed environment/ Ability to work effectively across global and business matrixesAccomplished in sourcing, thinking and actionAccomplished in change leadership and influencing othersDemonstrate candor; ability to respectfully challenge senior leadershipResults orientationAbility to draw insights from data quickly and to design analysisComfort/familiarity with constructing presentations, organization communications, and business casesStrong ability to build relationships and networks in the community and within the Monsanto organization with multiple functions and at the leadership levelsAbility to motivate others and navigate teams through ambiguityOutstanding strategic skills; ability to transform general goals in to actionable plansStrong analytical capabilitiesVisionary and critical thinkerDesired Skills/Experience:Master???s degree and/or MBALean Certification or Six Sigma Black Belt / Green BeltCSCMP ScPro, APICS, or ISM related certificationsPassion for developing a high performance organizationStrong detail orientation and cost reduction/process improvement focusApply for this job.
