We currently have a position available at our Simplot Headquarters in Boise, ID. SUMMARYIn support of the Agribusiness strategic direction, this position plays a critical role in progressing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the coordination and analysis of supply and demand data from stakeholders that is used to drive operational decision making, as well as forecast business results. The incumbent must be capable of working under limited supervision while adhering to the strict timelines. The incumbent must also be able to work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Business Partnering to manage issues identified out of the Sales and Operations Planning process through to completion. This position works with the Sales and Operations managers for the development, improvement and implementation of the S&OP Tool. RESPONSIBILITIES* Acts as a contact point for all information submitted via the electronic change report from S&OP tool; Responsibility includes interpreting and communicating the most appropriate course of action* Assists Sales, Production Planner and Customer Service in determining appropriate target inventory levels to support customer demand at the forward warehouses, while meeting working capital objectives and seasonal targets.* Assists Production Planner in the S&OP monthly cycle process using information from S&OP tool referencing forecast, budgets and actual sales and production* Assists with regular user training sessions for relevant S&OP processes and ensuring new production additions are available in S&OP tool.* Maintain the integrity between the monthly and the weekly scheduling arena ensuring all rules and production metrics are updated on a timely basis to ensure the long range plan is implemented accordingly.* Responsible for ensuring the effective update of Demand & Supply Planning metrics.* Assists in the development and management of product prioritization and allocation plans in conditions of constrained supply & demand. REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university* Two plus years related experience and/or training. * Level I: This is an entry level position requiring a basic knowledge of distribution and warehousing. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Computer competency in databases and spreadsheets. * Level II is an intermediate level position. * The incumbent must have an aptitude for understanding the supply chain dynamics involved in forecasting, production, inventory and distribution. * Experience with a formal Sales and Operations Planning process a plus. * Experience with demand planning / supply planning / forecasting software is preferred.
