Supply Chain Global Demand Planning Lead – #01FDK
Oversee and lead the Global Demand Planning and Forecasting process across all regions, supporting all businesses: Crop Protection, Row Crop and Vegetable. Primary responsibility for developing and maintaining demand planning practices to achieve the best demand signals to supply. You will work with each region and business overseeing and influence best practice in people, process and systems for demand management. The work will also involve working with teams to gain advantages through predictive analytics, metrics and sales and operations planning to help support the customer requirements. This role requires experience and knowledge in the following:??? Demand Planning ??? Capturing, reporting and consensus process for demand forecasting/planning??? New Product Launch Planning ??? Demand planning for new product introductions and product exits using cross-functional forecasting, life-cycle modeling and heuristics??? Statistical Forecasting / Predictive Analytics??? Utilization of systems and other tools to project future product level demand based on historical data and heuristics??? Product Allocation Process ??? Combining sales forecasting information and product inventory availability to identify mismatches and drive trade-off decisions based on profitability, strategic opportunity and other factors??? Continue Improvement and supporting the documentation/mapping of current and future state processes, key decisions, RACI, timelines, etc.??? People training and development to enhance the demand planning departments throughout the global footprint.This role is global with responsibilities across all Monsanto business segments and regions. This role provides support as well as guidance for regional demand managers and planning professionals. The ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver better methods and processes to support demand that ultimately benefit supply chain efficiency, cost and customer service. Continue leadership for Supply Chain Planning Transformation with a primary focus on demand management processes. Leading continuous improvement efforts and specific projects that optimize demand management processes. Defining and building processes/tools/systems that provide value-add to business activities. A global role with responsibilities across all Monsanto business segments and regions. Providing strategic direction and partnership for the regions in the area of demand planning and forecasting. Critical understanding of the support for regional demand planners, super users and various functions that support demand planning. Understanding and experience in the use of analytical and statistical data process to help identify improvement opportunities across regions and businesses. A focus on process improvement, governance and implementation of best practices. Balancing centralized/global needs with regional needs to optimize business value.Qualifications:Minimum bachelor degree (or equivalent) and 10+ years experience in demand management, IT, commercial and/or supply chain management with MBA preferred. Experience in predictive analytics / statistical modeling a plus. Foresight for current and future business needs to proactively respond with effective solutions. Ability to work across multiple cultures in both team & self-led initiatives. Objective analytical skills to define strategic alternatives and deliver business value. Self-directed work skills focused on continuous improvement required. Excellent communication and listening skills are a necessary prerequisite. Results oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
