Position Summary:This position will primarily manage and optimize the distribution channel of the Amino Acid group?s liquid and dry rail, truck, vessel, rail to truck trans-load stations, export tanks, containers, warehousing and customer tank inventories.
The position will have direct hands on involvement in the North American market and is expected to leverage know how and work with international offices to drive continuous improvement & optimization of global supply chains.
The successful candidate must be able to work closely and collaboratively with internal departments such as our production team, ADM Transportation and the Oil group bulk logistics team as well as external parties and customers.
This position supports the commercial team globally and has a direct and highly visible impact on our customer service.
The successful candidate is also expected to be a great communicator and has responsibility to mentor, teach and transfer knowledge to other team members so as to develop and deepen the group?s skillsets in this area.
This position will be split roughly 50/50 between supply chain and sales of amino acids and/or other animal nutrition ingredients and additives. Job Responsibilities: Forecasting and planningManage rail fleet, oversee truck, containers, warehouse and tank inventoriesManage trans load inventoriesWork in lock step with the global commercial teamCoordinate and communicate rail, truck, vessel logistics, inventory positions, and forecasts to commercial team membersSetting goals, objectives and deliverablesMonitoring and reporting asset utilization, inventory turns, etcSearching and implementing best possible routes, rates from origin to destinationNegotiating rates and agreementsRegularly produce Progress reports, Proposals, Executive SummariesCommunicating with customers by phone, email and face to face to manage the sales cycleSelling ?
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements ? University or college degree in business or equivalent?
3-5 years of experience managing supply chains/logistics 3 years minimum of sales and/or marketing experience?
Experience in both operations and office environments?
3 years prior experience within an Agribusiness company Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products with particular focus in Excel, Powerpoint, Word and SharepointMust be able to travel up to 30% of time.
