Reviews and monitors plant inventory to ensure with in inventory targets. Conducts all activities and makes decisions that are in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Zoetis Values, & global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP), environmental guidelines, as appropriate, etc. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform production planning activities for assigned plants. * Monitor customer demand and communicate supply availability with global customers. Troubleshoot any anomalies (e.g., trends) and work with Product Supply Planning Manager to determine how to address them. * Run inventory reports, prepare Days on Hand, Short Supply and Back Order update reports. * Ensure the timely release of production lots, through coordination with Quality, and other role (e.g., tracking and assisting prioritization of QAR closure). * Support unplanned event management (e.g., events that affect material flow across two or more rhythm cycles). * Arrange for proper monitoring and follow up to assure timely disposition of all slow moving, obsolete, damaged and other unusable materials in accordance with Company policies and procedures . * Manage proper inventory controls for API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) and Raw Materials ensure accuracy inventory projections. Take corrective action on those items that are not within established inventory levels. * Support/back-up Import Coordinator and Logistics to insure timely receipt of goods through the customs and delivery to the plant. * Actively participate in annual budget and LE process. * Work with the Master Data team and Platform Supply Planning Manager to maintain accurate parameters in ECC and SNP. * Work closely with the designated Site Import Coordinate to understand the import delays, document requirements to limit additional storage cost due to delays. * Partner with the Process Team Buyer to 1) understand the possible impact of schedule changes on material availability, and 2) ensure the Production Schedule is supported by material availability. * Support the PSMP Manager throughout the Supply/Demand review Process identifying changes and assessing impacts. * Local Data Steward for the Material Master for Plant Specific Raw Materials. * Closely follow-up on distressed inventory and assure an efficient process to reduce the “in process” DI. Evaluate and manage Quarantine & “on Hold” inventories and provide tools & follow up to reduce them. * Participate in OpEx projects. * Provide back up for other members in the Supply Planning Team. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * BA/BS with 2-4 years of experience OR MBA/MS with 0-2 years of experience OR Minimum of 8 years relevant experience. Bachelor”s Degree in Supply Management, Engineering, Management Information Science, Business or related business/technical field. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: * Experience in materials planning and/or production scheduling.
* Experience with Purchasing/Materials Requirements Planning Systems (MRP). * Strong analytical/problem resolution skills.
* Knowledge of product flow through Manufacturing. * Knowledge of Manufacturing facilities and equipment capabilities and constraints. * Knowledge and understanding of MPS, MRP, and inventory management principles. * Proficient math skills. * Travel 10% * Excellent attention to detail.
