About This Job
The purpose of this position is to support development of the regional interpretation of the planning strategy while proposing and delivering the change agenda for North American (NA) planning. The role is responsible for identifying and leading continuous improvement projects and developing NA planning capabilities. Providing planning with the tools, standards, expertise and training needed in support of the Syngenta Planning Center of Excellence is vital to this role. This position will lead the sharing and adoption of best practices, process, standards, and planning technologies in NA; as well as implement new global processes within the NA planning organization. This person will be expected to contribute actively to the Planning Center of Excellence community world-wide and collaborate & develop strong cross functional relationships. This role is also responsible for ensuring change delivery focuses on both technology and human change management while balancing standardization with differentiation. This person will be expected to work with external partners to integrate external best-practices and evaluate the latest mega trends. Accountabilities Investigate industry best practices to identify opportunities and drive planning improvement
Support the implementation of APICS standards in Supply Planning
Develop and report KPIs to drive planning excellence
Define and lead operational improvement projects by working with the planning organization and relevant functions to design and implement measurement and control systems, data analysis tools and methodologies to support planning improvement
Work with the planning organization to develop and implement operating standards to ensure that processes and work flows are followed consistently and to maintain a repository of standards
Coach site and regional Planners in developing and institutionalizing appropriate performance metrics including dashboards, scorecards and productivity reporting
Identify and drive sharing and adoption of best process and planning technologies and standards across NA using standard tools and networks, such as LEAP
Work with Capability Manager to identify, develop and lead training on methodologies and tools to support operational improvements, such as inventory management basics and problem-solving methodologies
Implement systems and supporting processes to add value to the overall planning process
Deliver training program and audits within the agreed focus area
Implementation of continuous improvement of planning capabilities
Provide business transformation coordination for change delivery projectsSkills:

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar
5+ years of Supply Chain experience, including Planning experience specifically
Project Management / Product Management / Commercial experience
Product Life Cycle processes
Deep Planning knowledge and understanding of MRP II principles
SAP, APO, Quintiq or other planning tools
Project Management
Microsoft Excel, Visio, etc.Additional Information
Must be able to travel by car and plane- 10% Travel
Ability to work in a variety of manufacturing sites and office settings
A valid driver license

Relocation support is available
Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time
