SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring the plant is thoroughly cleaned and properly sanitized which includes breaking down each piece of equipment, having it inspected by a USDA official, and then reassembling before production begins. This requires monitoring chemical usage for cost, safety, and effectiveness, monitoring Bac-T reports weekly to ensure sanitizing practices are being followed, and monitoring chemical and sanitation supplies and equipment and ordering when necessary. Other responsibilities include knowing and understanding MSDS, lockout/tagout procedures, chemical mixtures, and other safety procedures, ensuring fair and consistent personnel policies are carried out, and coordinating training for Team Members in order to minimize accidents. Other duties include giving guidance to supervisors regarding personnel matters with their Team Members, giving presentations to Team Members as to overall performance, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses. Experience: 3+ years of experience. Computer Skills: Standard computer skillsCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.
