SUMMARY: This position is responsible managing four basic goals: Safety, downtime, budget and overtime. Other duties include: completing work orders and preventative maintenance; supervise designated maintenance/production crew; ensure tracking of budgets and product quality; schedule maintenance crews and production orders; responsible for logs and record keeping of safety for maintenance department; perform any additional assignments deemed appropriate.All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.REQUIREMENTS:Education: High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred.Experience: Two (2) plus years' in industrial maintenance. One (1) plus years' experience in the pork or beef industry fresh meats preferred.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual skills helpful. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.Special Skills: Must possess strong people skills.Supervisory Skills: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various Maintenance tasks or activities. Ensure compliance with all human resource and safety policies, food safety, sanitation and all other duties as determined by management.Other REQUIREMENTS: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
