SUMMARY: This position is responsible for directing and training production Team Members in all facets of their jobs, including operations, paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, turnover, absenteeism, safety, motivation and problem solving; accountable for production operations; perform special projects as required; ensure adherence to all company safety and human resource policies and procedures; ensure compliance with all human resource and safety policies, food safety, sanitation; other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 1 + years' experience in the meat industry and must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques: food safety, product yield and USDA regulations; experience in ready to eat facility a plus. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with plant management; bilingual skills a plus. Special Skills: Strong team leader; good problem solving skills; exhibit a good attendance and safety practices; possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce. Physical REQUIREMENTS: Ability to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; fixed ladders, stairs, steps, etc.; must be able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility. Supervisor: Responsible for supervising a group of Team Members who perform various production tasks or activities.
