SUMMARY:This position is responsible for managing inventory and serving as a liaison between production, sales/marketing and demand planner, including analyzing reasons for product shortages, developing, coordinating, and implementing methods to improve order fill rates, and overseeing special product orders. This requires monitoring and adjusting inventory levels as required by forecast information, preparing daily production shortage analysis and forwarding to appropriate production personnel, and disseminating daily production shortage information to customer service department, sales and marketing, and product movement. Other responsibilities include working with marketing and purchasing to ensure adequate supplies are maintained, and receiving and relaying promotion activities to the appropriate regional planners. This position is responsible for scheduling the production of products by evaluating reports to determine the amount of work-in-process (WIP) product that needs to be brought in to meet the schedule. This requires coordinating with all levels of management and working on a daily basis to improve the cost and pounds produced at the plant. Specific responsibilities include tracking and reviewing all inbound and outbound loads. Also monitoring inventory levels of all raw meat and ingredients and requesting re-supply when necessary, and ensuring all products are run within the agreed upon code date specifications, and ensuring all shipping locations get accurate shipping orders. Other duties include receiving and distributing special customer orders, planning the production schedule according to shipping dates in order to coordinate with shipping vessels, and researching the fit on new and/or expanded customer needs against company resources and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.REQUIREMENTS:?Education: Four years of high school, a vocational, school or equivalent, with knowledge of mathematics, grammar, office equipment and business practices.?Experience: 3+ years experience.?Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
