Syngenta Business Services Program Manager
About This JobThe SBS (Syngenta Business Services) Program Manager will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership to ensure delivery of several projects across different business areas (Production & Supply, Finance, Commercial, IT, HR) in North America. S/he will engage and collaborate with business clients, senior stakeholders, and key suppliers to deliver change projects that are strategically important North America as well as the North American components of global programs. The hired program manager will be part of a the Change Delivery organization in Syngenta Business Services. You will collaborate with a team of project and program managers, reporting to the Head of Program and Project Management, North America.Accountabilities Ensure successful delivery for a portion of the portfolio of change projects aligned with the North American business strategy.
Coordinate and align with partners in other regions on global programs which impact the North American business.
Ensure successful organizational transformation through partnership with sponsors and key stakeholder and change agents.
Provide performance and resource management for the external project managers.
Ensuring that projects are properly initiated, planned and executed in alignment with internal governance process and best practice standards. Support adherence Syngentas Business Change Methodology.
Accountable for managing cross functional interdependencies, risks & issues, and ensuring resolution effective co-ordination, management & mitigation.
Responsible for the overall integrity of the NA projects within the program environment, when applicable.
Lead development and delivery of new Project, Program, Change delivery capabilities within Change Delivery and the SBS Sustainable Excellence organization.
Establish appropriate project monitoring and pro-active stakeholder communication.
Ensure accessibility and quality of collaborative documents (meeting minutes, risk registers, etc.) for all assigned projects.
Supervise external project management resources by providing direction, measuring adherence, and leading corrective actions when necessary. Coach the Project Manager(s) on the day-to-day performance in managing the projects
Accountable for keeping senior managers and project sponsors informed of the status and performance of the changes project in your portfolio.
Manage external project manager vendor services; establishing recruiting guidelines for Syngenta demand and then providing feedback on performance to contribute to vendor/PM coachingInterview, select, onboard and engage external Project Manager resources.Skills:

Sufficient technical and process knowledge in systems relevant to Syngentas business needs

Successful handling of conflicting challenges from different stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to concurrently manage several projects in different areas of the business.Qualifications B.S., M.S. or MBA degree with a business management or engineering and technical related education.
10+ years of professional experience in leading change or managing teams in one or more business or corporate functions.
5-8 years of experience in project and / or program management with several projects delivered end to end.
Knowledge and experience in project management, IT and business processes
People change and organizational transformation experience
PMP Certification or equivalent knowledge and a deep understanding of other project management methodologies e.g. Agile
is desirable.Additional Information Travel -10-20%
