Systems Support Engineer/ Field Tech / IT
Details: CourtSmart Digital Systems, Inc is a technology company filling a unique end-user need. We develop and install courtroom technology solutions that include digital recording systems, integrated video surveillance systems, and integrated video conferencing systems that utilize state-of-the-art recording technology to capture audio/video proceedings in courtrooms, law enforcement, and other venues. Our proprietary systems are Windows based utilizing ODBC compliant databases. All of our products are networked using Microsoft protocols. These unique systems are installed throughout the United States and internationally. This position requires traveling (up to 25%) throughout the United States, Canada, and international working with various courts (all levels), police agencies and legislative bodies. This position requires the ability to pass intensive background checks through the FBI, GSA and other agencies as needed. Possession of a valid passport is a plus. Job Duties: Qualified candidates are required to know or learn to: Configure Dell, HP servers and workstations to operate our digital recording (audio/video) systems including network and database components. Install CourtSmart’s hardware and software at customer locations. Document site and support issues. Train technical and non-technical end-users in the operation of CourtSmart . Provide high-level support to customers both in-house and onsite via phone and remote connectivity. Troubleshoot customer’s technical issues/escalating to Software Development as needed. Test new software releases including beta and service packs. Research technologies and products that benefit CourtSmart and support our business strategies. Qualified Candidates should have: Technical proficiency in Windows Server OS and troubleshooting thereof. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Professionalism: Attention to detail , follow-up and using good judgment is paramount. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Some knowledge of audio/video signal flow a plus. Ability to multi-task multiple customer service requests and installations you are assigned. Knowledge of SQL (a plus). We can train the right candidate. Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, & SMTP. Cisco routers a plus.
