Team Lead Biostatistics
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBLITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Team Lead Biostatistics, are to:
Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of Ph.D., M.Sc. and B.Sc. level scientists who work with global Biologics researchers to analyze complex data sets, train colleagues, advise on experimental design, and continue to assess and adapt new biostatistics tools to drive research pipeline for microbial agricultural inputs (biologicals);
Ad hoc analysis and construction of analysis pipelines for decision making on experimental data from lab and field studies;
Work with bench scientists to assist in efficient design of experiments at diverse scales and across disciplines running from chemistry to fermentation to field biology. Application of diverse modelling and visualization tools to enable researchers to extract information more easily and effectively from experimental data;
Work in close partnership with project teams in Biologics, including lab scientists, Regulatory, Human and Environmental Safety, Biostatistics Team Lead, Data Management Lead, IT functions, global CLS and E&T (Engineering and Technology Team) and Product Supply;
Scope, plan, and partner with specific IT teams and Biologics Data Management team;
Provide prioritization and design requirements for data analytics tools and applications to IT, as well as capture customer feedback on these tools that enable decision making and advancement of pipeline leads.

Ph.D. with aminimum of 6 years relevant experience,OR Master's degreewith aminimum of 10 years relevant experience, OR Bachelor's with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience in Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or Bioinformatics;
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience leading a multi-disciplinary team of Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. level scientists, particularly inspiring and motivating direct reports;
Demonstrated capability in building, guiding, and motivating effective teams as well as fostering productive collaborations;
Highly collaborative and effective at building partnerships with colleagues with diverse styles, technical expertise, and cultures;
Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and explain complex technical and scientific information;
Ability to build trust with all layers of the organization, including direct reports, and different levels of leadership and multiple stake holders.
Prior experience preferred in life science research, particularly microbiology, plant sciences, ecology, evolutionary biology, or agricultural sciences.
