Technical Analyst End User Support
SUMMARY:This position is responsible for providing technical and functional support of Infrastructure, applications, and Tyson business systems for the end-user. This includes responsibility for the technical and functional support of strategic business initiatives, assisting with the development, implementation, and support of internally developed business applications and processes, technical and functional support in a networked environment. Other duties would include documentation of activities via the support center call-tracking tool, revising of specific technical manuals, knowledge repositories, and correspondences, creating and interpreting reports. Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following: collaborate with IS Professionals and other technical staff to ensure that the current portfolio is meeting the needs of the business; perform all system related and/or configuration assignments without close supervision; analyze and resolve system/application errors in a timely and accurate fashion; provide status reports where required; develop and maintain systems to support the business processes; create and maintain documentation for setup and/or configuration throughout the system development lifecycle; provide on-call support and problem resolution for software applications; project management skills.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Minimum 2 year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical area; related experience may be acceptable.Experience: 1 year minimum experience is preferred. Experience with relational database systems; Unix/Linux shell scripting; automating tasks and processes for improved efficiency and proactive management; SAP OSS Note and patch dissemination, recommendation and implementation experience with SAP Netweaver (ABAP AS or Java AS) preferred.Role Specific Skills: Must have a good understanding of business process design and be familiar with a System Development Lifecycle Methodology; ability to develop and/or modify specifications, configurations, and programs to meet individually specified requirements; ability to analyze and interpret information systems proposals, and to evaluate and develop alternative implementation plans; ability to work productively on a team; broad knowledge of relevant multi-user computer systems, applications, and/or equipment; knowledge of current technology developments and trends; ability to develop and execute test plansSpecial Skills: Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems; proven ability in troubleshooting any of the following SAP stack layers: database, operating system, infrastructure or application; ability to multitask and manage multiple customer support requests in a demanding environment; ability to provide consistent and regular updates to customers during the life of their support requests; experience with Remedy or other support ticket request system; above average problem solving skills.Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members.Travel: Some travel may be required.
