We are looking for a Technical Marketing Manager to focus on Crop protection / Fungicides / Plant Health to assume responsibility and leadership for all technical elements (labels, technical editing, product use direction, training materials, recommendations, and technical positioning) of assigned products in our BASF Marketing Crop Protection Division, headquartered in Research Triangle Park, NC. Technical Market Manager (Crop Protection/Fungicides ? Row Crop Focus) (1603901) As the Technical Marketing Manager, you will be accountable for the product line technical support to the sales and marketing functions. Your mission will be to increase net income via key operating objectives of increasing sales, reducing liability costs and maintaining the technical integrity of product positions. You will provide marketing support through direct interaction with marketing crop group units in the development and implementation of their annual business plans. You will also share accountability for the income objectives of the crop groups, and support the sales organization in achieving its income objectives through interaction with the technical service representatives. Formula for Success: You Will?Communicate technical information with internal and external customers of other key influencers. Technically assess and sustain technical recommendations for product positioning, labeling and inclusion in business plansTrain and direct Technical Service Reps using a variety of presentation and persuasion toolsProvide business to business technical leadership through interactions with Marketing, Sales, Biology, Regulatory, channel partners and KIPsIdentify, prioritize and pursue new opportunities.Provide assistance and leadership in dealing with alleged product claims.This position is part of a job family. BASFRSIngredients for Success: What We Look For in You?MS/PhD degree in Plant Science, Agronomy, Weed Science, Entomology, Bio-Science, Plant Pathology or Related Discipline2+ years? experience (Time spent toward an advanced degree, i.e.: MS, PhD will be considered), OR successful completion of a BASF rotational program)Agribusiness related experience. Demonstrated ability to recommend product positioning based on evaluating data and customer needs.Excellent computer skills and proficient in various software programs, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Excellent written and oral communication skills.Preferred?Experience working with Growers, Distribution/Retail, Universities, Consultants and/or Seed Companies.
