Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Be a customer facing, on-site technical resource who is responsible for the technical success of DuPont??? enzymes and processing aids in existing and new ethanol accounts. Conduct site surveys of the ethanol fermentation process; develop plant mappings and process reviews, in order to determine the proper protocol for product use. Utilize technology and troubleshooting skills to identify and propose improvements to help improve and optimize customer operations. Assist customers to improve fermentation kinetics resulting in improved fermentation results. Be a technical point of contact to coordinate additional technical resources (biological, engineering, etc) to investigate, find the root cause of problems, develop solutions, and provide recommendations. Possess basic account management skills to allow successful interaction at all levels of plant personnel (operator to plant manager). Assist customers in new product use and application by providing product information such as application and safety training, design and coordination of product trials, data gathering and analysis, report completion and presentation of results to drive account conversion. Provide on-going product application service to customer accounts.Ensure the highest standards are achieved for our customers in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, process efficiency, and reliability when using our products.*LI-BG1Qualifications:Minimum 4 year
degree in a biological field of study or an equivalent combination of
education and experience in biological/fermentation process systems. Minimum 3 years???
experience in process operations, trouble shooting, and applications. Must be
knowledgeable in the area of fermentation kinetics and performance. Knowledgeable in
the use and application of enzymes, antimicrobials, yeast, and other
processing aids, utilized within the fuel ethanol industry. Must be an
ambitious self-starter able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Must be effective
at interfacing with the customer and working within a sales team
environment, to bring technical solutions to meet the needs of the
customer.Be able to travel
50% of the time or more to support customer trials and ongoing customer
support. Knowledge of Six
Sigma, including Green Belt or Black Belt Certification would be a plus
but not required. Comfortable in a
dynamic environment, able to deal with ambiguity and function
autonomously. Experience working
with multi-functional teams serving customers. Strong computer
skills, with proficiency with Lotus Notes or MS Outlook as well as Excel,
Word and PowerPoint and basic statistical analysis, with Minitab
experience a plus. Polished written
and verbal communication skills (including presentations), both internal
and external. Desire candidate
with proven success as a team leader and team member able to influence
others in decision-making. Desire candidate
to be located in mid-western US, but not required.
