Technical Service Manager, Preservatives ? Decatur, IL ADM Nutrition – Health & Wellness This is a full time, exempt position
Position Summary:This position will be responsible for providing technical support for our preservative business as well as drive the development of custom preservation solutions. The candidate will interact with customers, assisting sales in driving revenue growth. Furthermore, the candidate will interact with global ADM Nutrition R&D colleagues to develop unique solutions, utilizing numerous ADM Nutrition application centers across the world. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager Nutrition & Health. Job Responsibilities: Provide global technical support for customized preservatives solutions including anti-oxidation, color preservation, curing and anti-microbial.Be the technical resource for customer interactions; conducting high volume screening of systems and coordinating stability studies (leveraging analytical and sensory functions).Handle incoming requests from customers, end users and sales managers regarding technical questions, product information and complaints using internal data and resources ? all with a high level of customer satisfaction.Assist sales team in promoting technical advantages of product line versus competitive products.Provide technical training to division sales and management team.Drive customer intimacy by providing unique expertise to support customer needs.Communicate with customer base on all facets of technical details including product specifications, analytical details, ingredient functionality and properties, questionnaires, applications and product quality issues.Strong interaction with internal Lead Scientists and Formulators in the development of natural, customized preservation solutions at great value to our customers. Job Requirements: Minimum five years of experience in preservation technical service in food, pet and/or feed industries.Must have at minimum a BS in food/beverage technology.Demonstrated ability to collaborate across matrix organization and preferably at global level.Good interpersonal skills, strong communicator, team-spirited and self-starterUp to 50% travel may be required.Relocation assistance is available with this position.
