Technology Development Manager – Agronomic Systems – #01FXD
Monsanto North America Technology Development & Agronomy is looking for a Technology Development Manager – Agronomic Systems to be a part of the Technical Crop Protection team and work on multiple cross-functional teams including Commercial, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Formulations, Investor Relations and Legal. This position ensures consistent product messaging through the organization and with key stakeholders. The position provides leadership, expertise and knowledge and develops and implements processes to prevent, address, and resolve product use related issues. This position also works within the Technical Crop Protection Team to influence product and information development, transfer knowledge and apply product and agronomic information to assist in the development of relevant research and demonstration. Specifically, this individual will be the technical lead for all of Monsanto???s selective chemistry products, market support, and support of Roundup Ready PLUS endorsed products and programs. Key Responsibilities:Development of educational content, materials and tools to facilitate education on proper product use and stewardship Direct and facilitated education of the organization, customers and stakeholders for alignment, confidence and competency in proper product use and stewardshipProcess development and management of field investigations and information from product inquiriesTracking, management and reporting of inquiry information including development of analytical toolsQualifications:Required Skills/Experience:Master's degree in agronomic sciences or related discipline3+ years experience in agronomic product evaluation research and development and/or technical customer service on agronomic product use Strong influence and negotiations skills Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to influence and network across multiple functional teams to build consensus and execute strategiesResults orientation with sense of urgency and agility to adapt and overcome evolving circumstances and issuesCustomer focus and orientation to understand, anticipate and meet needs of external customers and stakeholdersDesired Skills/Experience:PhD degree in weed scienceExperience in field applied research and functional experience in pesticide applicationFormal training or practical experience in customer training and educationFormal training or practical experience in communicationsApply for this job.
