Transformation Production Research Associate – #01DAF
The Trait Delivery Program is seeking exceptional applicants for a Research Associate position in the Transformation Platform in Chesterfield, MO. The successful candidate will be a member of the Transformation Production Team, contributing to the critical work of crop transformation to support Monsanto???s biotech pipeline. The individual will support all aspects of transformation production, including tissue culture, in an ISO-certified environment, and assist with media preparation as needed. Minimum of a Bachelor???s degree (or higher) in Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Science or related field ??? Experience working in a laboratory environment??? Detail-orientated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills ??? Self-motivated, able to work with minimal oversight, with strong team work and cross-functional abilities ??? Effective communication and interpersonal skills ??? Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel ??? Ability to follow best practice documents, comply with regulatory requirements, and promote a safe work environment ??? Ability to work adjusted hours including weekends based on business needs (regular schedule will include Saturday and Sunday) Desired Education and Skills/Experience: ??? Experience working in a laboratory environment in plant transformation and/or tissue culture??? Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., BIO or ISO) and/or laboratory management databases ??? Experience with data visualization tools such as Spotfire Who is Monsanto?
