Hours for this position: ?9:00 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for assisting Transportation Analyst with daily duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides assistance and assumes many of the Transportation Analyst responsibilities when necessary.
Enter orders, tenders loads to carriers and monitors their progress using GROWMARKS dispatching and load tracking tools.
Responsible for generating a savings for member cooperatives and GROWMARK by analyzing all possible price, freight, and FSC combinations.
To optimize member cooperative and GROWMARK savings by maximizing the number of loads sourced from non-predetermined terminals.
Monitors Energy product prices, costs, and availability.? Identifies orders affected, re-prices, and re-sources them to reduce overall member cooperative / GROWMARK cost.
Responsible for accurately updating the GROWMARK billing system.
Completes carrier freight bill payment, audits carrier invoices and reconciliations to verify correct charges.?
Assures correct member cooperative billing, helps resolve any discrepancies, and ensures LMS is updated with appropriate PSR changes.
Dispatches night fill and early morning NH3 loads to appropriate carriers.
Maintain excellent analytical skills and knowledge of GROWMARK procedures, freight rate structures, fuel surcharge calculations, and an ability to read and understand GROWMARK carrier contracts and insurance certificates.
Receives and logs all after hour calls to the dispatch office and responds with appropriate action.
Performs bill of lading match and audit function.
Coordinates carrier insurance certificates with Insurance Services.
Maintains various daily reports and distributes to appropriate area.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Advises Transportation Analysts of actions taken effecting routing or morning activities.
Communicates weekly load information to appropriate groups.
Assists other GROWMARK departments with inquiries and requests.
Follows GROWMARK?s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Normally requires a two year degree or related work experience to demonstrate the ability to learn transportation and dispatching skills.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
Ability to learn Transportation Analyst responsibilities utilizing dispatch tools.
Proven professional communication and customer service skills.
Demonstrated analytic problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Capable of multi-tasking in a high stress environment.
Ability to interpret a Rand McNally road map legend and its content.? Must be able to provide driving directions to others.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends, as demand requires.
Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK?s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
