Position:MSA is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated student to join our transportation program in our Madison office this summer for an internship or co-op to help with a range of transportation- and traffic-engineering tasks. The position requires the ability to work independently and on teams to meet weekly project goals. You will have the opportunity to work on transportation planning, design, and traffic analysis with an emphasis on highway and intersection design projects. Required ExperienceResponsibilities:CAD work and 3D design on intersection and highway improvement projectsComputer modeling of intersection capacity and results reportingPublic meeting presentation displays and public engagementSite visits for traffic counting or traffic observation Qualifications:Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (sophomore-senior standing required)Minimum GPA of 2.75 requiredMicrostation or AutoCAD experience preferredSolid written and verbal communication skillsA desire to learn more about transportation engineering and consulting environment MSA offers a unique, innovative learning experience for students who are looking to expand their coursework through practical, hands-on work.
