Transportations & Logistics Operations Coordinator II
Position PurposeThis position is responsible for managing inbound and outbound (and/or) rail and barge for Cargill Crush facilities.
This person supports the planning and execution required to move products inbound and outbound from oilseeds crush plants to customers in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
The position involves logistics, freight and transportation economics, accounting and administrative procedures.Principal Accountabilities 45% Monitor and coordinate inbound/outbound (and/or) rail/barge transportation activity within Region.
Utilize information received from Shipment Execution team as well as information systems (Transcore Lynx, Jupiter, Rail Index, Tow Works, RR Websites).
Coordinate railcar supply across Region to ensure no interruptions to production capabilities. Escalate issues to Shipment Execution Team if car movements jeopardize production and provide load plans. Identify opportunities within Region to reduce/control demurrage and utilize fleets and leverage pipeline across Region for best cost options. Coordinate the ordering of all System equipment across Region to supplement private fleets.
Provide Commercial and Operations teams with inbound/outbound rail pipe information as needed.
Collaborate with, CTL, Commercial team, Operations, Customers and RR?s to reduce costs, execute upon functional goals, as well as those of the Business. 20% Establish and maintain strong working relationships with multiple Railroads at the local level. Coordination of multiple sites local daily rail switching, including ensuring data exchange quality and consistency with local Railroads. Coordinate with all functional point of contacts to identify opportunities, risks and when necessary, the quick resolution of any related issues.
Documentation and tracking of local Railroad performance, as well as regional performance related to rail fleet transportation.15% Manage customer profiles in Jupiter.
Ensure profiles have proper Consignee, route, delivery terms and weight restrictions.
Input customer orders into Jupiter as needed.
Provide priority/shipping instructions to loaders/unloaders.
Provide unloaders with information required for inbound beans, seed and oil.
Coordinate with Commercial team and Rail Sourcing to identify shipping destinations.
Research and resolve all billing issues related to incorrect car numbers, weight issues, routing or changes to shipping location.15% Prompt monthly research of accessorial and demurrage charges as they are received.
Collaborate with Rail Sourcing, Freight Payables and Railroads to resolve issues and reduce costs.5%
Prepare shipping and customs documentation as needed for export shipment.
Prepare MP?s and billing for bean shipments.
Miscellaneous data entry related to the management of hopper and tank car fleets into various databases.
