Founded in 1818, the company is headquartered in White Plains, New York.Position Summary:The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the activities as they pertain to the Motor Carrier transport of our bulk and packaged shipments from our package and refinery operations.Core Functions:Negotiate motor carrier contracts and rates to enable the delivery of products to the destination at the best cost for the business unitManage our $70MM freight spend with motor carriersMaintain and administer accurate carrier rate agreements in Rate ServerWork with operations and implement the optimized route guides to lead strategic cost reduction plans across the logistics supply chainLead/Participate in large projects that focus on improving transportation operations and processes at the ten package plants and five refineries in the U.S.Review and maintain the Carrier performance scorecard with KPI metrics to drive improvementScreen potential new Carriers to add to pool of approved carriersIdentify and correct issues with freight accrual and expense variances in SAPMaintain and administer accurate carrier rate agreements in Rate ServerAdminister freight rate quotes to support administration, sales and supply chainMaintain proof of insurance and contracts for all 80 current carriers and any new additional carriers added to the poolMaintain a working knowledge of federal rules and regulations that apply to shippers and motor carriers in order to ensure we are compliantAnalyze and distribute reports from SAP and Rateserver as requiredPower user to train plant personnel on new processes and procedures related to all systemsKey Performance IndicatorsCustomer Service Level ScoreFreight cost/lbFreight Revenue Variance TrendSkill/Experience Requirements:College degreeMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in related fieldAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to work effectively under time constraints and multi taskAbility to work effectively with minimal supervisionCompetency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power PointPossess strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, with the drive to create data-driven business solutions and improve processes in the transportation and logistics areas.Experience in an ERP, Rate or TMS system is preferredBunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
