Utility Building Technician ? Decatur, IL This is a salaried non-exempt level position. Position Summary:
Reports to the BioProducts Utilities Maintenance SupervisorWill inspect, maintain and repair (25) centrifugal air compressors, (4) screw air compressors, (13) 4000 hp centrifugal chillers, (2) multi-cell cooling towers & associated equipment and (12) air dryersInteract with Maximo, ADM?s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of choice, making certain that all equipment maintenance and repairs are properly documentedCoach and mentor to all ADM and contractor colleagues in the areas of compressors, chillers, cooling towers and air dryers Job Responsibilities:

both professionally and concisely Actively champion and promote all safety related policies and programs to ensure colleague engagement and commitment to the benefits of working safe. Perform planned, preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment associated with the Utility BuildingPerform independently, and/or as a team member, to troubleshoot, diagnose and implement maintenance/repair activities required to protect the function of the equipment associated with the Utility BuildingOverhaul equipment as necessaryUtilize Maximo to manage/track equipment maintenance/repairs and spare parts inventories.Interact with the ADM StoreroomsCoach, mentor and provide technical support to the plant in the areas of compressors, chillers, cooling towers and air dryersCollaborate independently with consultants, vendors and ADM personnel in other plants
AS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, technical school curriculum completion and/or military training/experience in industrial maintenanceTraining/experience maintaining industrial air compressors and/or chillers, including equipment overhaul; Certification on either or both types of equipment preferredAt least (6) years of experience independently maintaining/repairing close tolerance rotating equipment, including centrifugal air compressors and/or chillersExperience managing medium/high voltage electrical LOTO in MCC?s preferredCredentials as a Journeyman Machinist preferredWorking knowledge of basic electricity/electronics preferredWorking knowledge of industrial control circuits preferredMust be capable of achieving and holding Level III Electrical Safety Training QualificationWilling to attend and participate in skills enhancement training and workshopsPromotes the ADM Way and Core Values Able to communicate with all levels of the organization Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures
