Vegetable Sales Consultant
OpportunityRupp Seeds has an opening for a full-time Vegetable Sales Consultant in New York and New England region.A successful Sales Consultant develops and maintains seed sales through effective product placement meeting the cropping practices and market opportunities of customers, while also earning their trust through long-term partnerships. As a Sales Consultant, you will promote Rupp vegetable seed products to commercial produce growers. ResponsibilitiesRepresent the company and promote its products as a professional sales representative, assuming responsibility for the effective performance of territory sales functions.Establish and maintain trusting partnerships with customers, potential customers and industry representatives.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of vegetable production, crop management practices and products.Develop and maintain a solid understanding of Rupp products and how they fit the cropping practices and market opportunities of customers.Direct the pre-commercial trialing and introduction of new products, and obtain results of product performance and suitability to grower needs.Be organized in managing work and activities including keeping records on customers, opportunities and sales activities.Establish good working relationships, communication and coordination with company personnel and management. Skills & Experience RequiredPrevious sales experience is preferred and ag-related sales experience is considered a plus.Excellent interpersonal skills.Good verbal, written and presentation skills.Time and territory management abilities.Proven problem solver.Proficient in the use of Windows PCs, Microsoft Office and other Windows-based software.
