Vice President

This position generates new business with new and existing clients, maintains relationships with current clients,manages and services a loan portfolio, initiates and facilitates the loan origination process and develops a strongpresence in the community.The successful incumbent will:Develop relationships with internal and external contacts to market credit and related servicesDetermine potential business opportunities by visiting clients, prospecting, and making cold callsIdentify and addresses prospect needsDocument prospecting information obtained, activities, and resultMaintain client relationships through frequent interaction and periodic sales callsReview existing loans to ensure they are functioning as expectedIdentify at-risk loans and recommend and implement a plan of action to resolve deficienciesIdentify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and servicesIdentify and extend opportunities to refinanceOriginate loans by accepting applications, gathering income information, and verifying financials for new and existing clientsMatch program, product, and terms to client needsWork with Legal and Compliance to determine eligibility and compliance qualificationsWork with Credit Services and the Loan Committee to negotiate and influence the final funding decision.Work with Document Administration to ensure proper loan documentationWork with Finance to determine appropriate pricing and coordinate fundingCoordinate loan closingsRepresent and promote 1st Farm Credit Services at agricultural organization meetings and eventsMaintain a professional presence throughout the agricultural community and develops a network among community leaders and influencersEnhance knowledge of macro and micro marketplace eventsLearn and use technology for efficient work processes through formal training and self-directed learning Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business or a related fieldInsurance license and chattel training certification required within 6 months from date of hireValid driver’s licenseOr an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the jobRequired Knowledge and Skills:Expert knowledge of the sales processWorking knowledge of negotiating tacticsWorking knowledge of financial services industryExpert knowledge of the agricultural industryExpert knowledge of credit underwriting processesSkill in preparing and presenting information to an audience in an engaging and effective waySkill in negotiating agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organizationSkill in using Microsoft technologies including e-mail, word and spreadsheet processingSkill in listening and conveying awareness of a client's problem or issue to find resolutionSkill in oral and written communication sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectivelycommunicate complex topics to a variety of audiencesSkill in community relations activitiesSkill in team building and team process efficiency
