Includes strategic planning, managing sales and customer service team, selling, and improving processes. Member of Senior Management Team. Responsibilities include: Utilize market and operational strategies to achieve business objectives for the Sales department. * Monitor and determine Key Performance Indicators (KPI s) such as sales and gross profit. * Develop, implement and manage sales, sales initiatives, sales strategies and sales programs as well as pricing strategies to balance Company s objectives and customer satisfaction. * Recommend marketing strategies, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors. * Access strengths and weakness of the sale team and manage the sales program accordingly. * Access strengths and weakness of the sale team and manage the sales program accordingly. * Provide on the ground support for the sales team as they generate new leads and close deals. Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs. * Set and manage quarterly and annual sales goals. As well as monitor, analyze and communicate monthly sales data. * Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. * Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with Marketing/Graphic Designer. * Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of customer service and inside/outside sales reps and oversee their daily activities. * Participate in developing new products, modifying existing products and suggesting terminations of ineffective products. * Create and use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products and/or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends. * Select products and accessories to be displayed at trade association shows. * Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service. * Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service. * Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts. * Work with the President to determine price schedules and discount rates. * Advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business. * Represent company at trade association shows, meetings, and conferences to promote products, generate sales, and increase market knowledge. * Confer with potential customers regarding product needs and advise customers on products to purchase. * Effectively direct delegation of authority to the appropriate subordinates. * Implement company and departmental policies, procedures and service standards in conjunction with management. * Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems.
