You will have the opportunity to assist in a variety of tasks associated with general plant operations and field activities that will evolve with each season throughout the year. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Driving to make deliveries locallyConditioning activities such as sizing, gravity operation, bagging, palletizing, etc.Return and rework activitiesField management activities such as scouting, field maintenanceWarehousing activities including forklift operation, order picking and pooling, collecting samples, etc.Gathering data for continuous improvement projectsVarious other duties as assigned by supervisorQualificationsThe following are required:High School Diploma or GED1-2 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, shipping, or related fieldValid drivers licenseBasic computer skillsAttention to detailSafety OrientedGood communication skillsExperience driving forklifts or willing and able to learn how toWilling and able to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse)Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periodsWilling and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditionsWilling and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive liftingWilling and able to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaksThe following are preferred:Associates DegreeAgriculture experienceExperience in field or plant equipment and vehicle operation such as trucks or forklifts and carrying out production processesKnowledge of production agriculture and production plant operationsApply for this job.
