?Seedway is?headquartered in Hall, New York with branches in Pennsylvania, Florida, Vermont, Maine, and New York. Seedway has?about 220?employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 15,000 customers.?The cooperative does business in farm, vegetable, and turf seed.?Seedway is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.?PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Manage personnel and inventory to provide accurate, saleable product at most reasonable cost to customers and to Seedway.??SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP?Supervises, leads, and develops Associate Warehouse Manager and Warehouse employees.??ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Performs periodic and timely visual inspections of all structural components for soundness, rodent proofing, weather proofing and appearance.?Inspects forklifts daily for all safety features, oil leaks, back up signal and lights, etc. and documents records.?Replaces worn parts on all equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.?Organizes, maintains, and manages inventory.?Maintains labels and assures compliance to states seed laws.?Assures shipping count and lot numbers are accurate to assure customer satisfaction and meet state seed audit requirements.?Responsible for the documentation of all paperwork.??OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS?Follows GROWMARK?s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.?Performs all other duties as assigned.??REQUIREMENTS?Normally requires an Associate?s Degree in agricultural or business discipline, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of supervisory related work experience to demonstrate knowledge to effectively manage the assigned facilities and personnel.?Understanding and experience with competitive adeptness, inventory management, customer credit worthiness, and product knowledge and proficiency, including fertilizers, ag chemicals, seed, soil needs, and field monitoring.?Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license, a satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently.?Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable certifications, licenses, and permits.?Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant?Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK agronomy and/or energy operations.?Occasionally exposed or required to:Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice, etc.)Noisy conditionsWorking conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measuresMay be required to work at varying heightsLift 51 – 70 lbs.?Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.?Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK?s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.??We are an equal opportunity employer, including protected veterans and qualified individuals with disabilities.
