Warehouse – Seed Supervisor
CHS is collaborating with a dynamic cooperative in Southeastern, WA to hire a Warehouse – Seed Supervisor. The ideal candidate will oversee the seed operations and processing activities of the company. The successful candidate will be expected to meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high; and providing excellent customer service. This position has the potential for promotion and additional duties in the future. Responsibilities: Operate seed plant and oversee quality.Provide operating assistance and perform maintenance and repairs in other areas of the facility as needed.Operate and oversee elevator during harvest.Supervise seed plant staff and other warehouse personnel assigned. Basic Qualifications: Ideal candidate should have a high school degree and some ag-related college education or experience related to the job.Three year’s operating a grain elevator and supervised on job seed plant training.Operation of cleaning equipment and seed treatment equipment.Must have the ability to manage seed quality from field inspection on through harvest intake and seed processing.Mathematical computations of chemical dilutions for seed treating important for both seed viability and operating cost standpoints.Must be able to obtain a pesticide applicator’s license. A driver’s license with a CDL endorsement or the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire.Candidate should have basic computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively.Position requires the ability to perform physical labor.Additional Details: This organization is an equal opportunity employer and offers competitive salary and benefits.Apply for this job.
