Position Summary:The warehouse supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. The supervisor is responsible for receiving, warehousing and shipping of product consistent with company service and cost objectives.

Manages warehouse employees and inventory by following company and department policies and procedures.
DIRECTS: 10+ warehouse employees SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:Ensures the safety of all personnel through compliance with occupational safety and health regulations as well as plant policies, procedures and safety values. Direct, lead and coach employees with an attitude that accidents are preventable, attend and participate in safety meeting and supervisor?s meeting. Recognizes environmental, safety, and GMP hazards/standards and takes actions to insure the hazards are eliminated so as not to affect employee safety, product quality and environmental purity. Listens to and addresses employee suggestions and concerns about safety, health, environment, policies, procedures and housekeeping. Leads by example Evaluates employee performance, identifies training needs, develops a training plan and works with employees to provide regular feedback to develop a high level of job proficiency. Works closely with maintenance, production and purchasing personnel in identifying and ordering replacement parts, supplies and materials. Manages the assignment of min/max inventory, establishes part numbers to newly received parts, and determines bin locations and quantity to be inventoried with accuracy. Advises Purchasing Department of the needed materials and supplies through the re-order process. Notifies Manager of problems concerning material movements, inventories or related procedures, coordinates physical inventories periodically and completes necessary reports/records. Insures the accuracies of inventories, researches inventory errors to identify cause, adjust inventories as allowed by cycle count procedures, initiates corrective action to eliminate the problem and teaches department employees inventory procedures. Reports inventory accuracy on weekly, monthly and semi-annual schedule. Maintains good communications and morale within department and keeps plant management informed of all matters affecting the morale and safety of employees. Completes and presents Annual Employee Performance Appraisal for all department employees. Analyzes department accidents by preparing and completing Accident Investigation within 24 hours of incident. Authorizes improvements to prevent reoccurrence of accident.
Maintains discipline within the department, works to insure adequate staffing and provides positive reinforcement when employees are observed producing good results and safe performance.
Works to create, change, improve and follow Inventory Control SOP?s.
Completes monthly report of Key Measurements to ensure proper attention to detail and track progress.
May perform reasonably similar or related job duties as required.
