Job Summary:This position will be responsible for engineering and operational support of the Decatur Waste Water Treatment facility.
This facility is responsible for testing and treatment of the waste water streams generated at most of the processing facilities within the East and West complexes.
It also has responsibility over several cooling water systems for the Corn Processing Plant and Polyol Plant. This person will also support the North Water Treatment facility which provides clean process water to the Decatur Complex. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for development and implementation of projects.Responsible for long term planning in regards to the impact of water usage and treatment requirements, on the complex, including effects on processing facilities. Develop positive working relationships with leaders of all processing facilities within the complex.Responsible for cost control in the department for chemicals, energy, project control, sludge dewatering and disposal.Evaluate potential new processes in the Decatur complex and determine suitability concerning waste water and process water capacity.

Some manufacturing processes within the facility are highly reliant on machinery and other processing equipment and, as a result, noise levels may reach or exceed 85 decibels and require use of hearing protection for most of the work shift.
Able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to30 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.Lifting or carrying of weights over 50 pounds is rare. Employees are encouraged to request assistance in lifting or carrying objects that weigh more than 50 pounds.Able to traverse up to two (2) miles during the course of a work day.Able to move about or to a work site by stooping, bending, kneeling or squatting frequently during the course of a work day.
May require periods of prolonged sitting or standing. Able to operate equipment or diagnose / detect issues of machinery that may be located at different heights.
May require work on ladders, scaffolding or other work at heights. Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically powered tools and instruments, to move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs in all buildings, and to work at heights.
