Position OverviewThe Wean to Finish Service Manager has responsibility for production and financial results in their geographical area including whole farm management at their assigned production units. ?The Wean to Finish Service Manager has full ownership for managing the relationship between CF and contract employees as well as management of any wean to finish production labor associated with the assigned territory. The ability to ensure implementation of plans to maintain and improve productivity according to CF's standards is critical to be successful in this role. Strong relationship building and conflict resolution skills are required. This person must be an expert within the wean to finish phase of production and will also be responsible for the recruitment, development and ultimate success of a small Production Management team. While remaining geographically focused the successful candidate will be part of a team which is focused on system-wide improvement objectives.?Major Areas of ResponsibilityOperational Responsibilities:Understands how each phase of production contributes/supports the WF phase and cost drivers within the WF phase of production. ?Responsible for managing controllable costs.Accountable for the results within the area of responsibility accepting ownership for what takes place on each site. Sets clear accountability for work that must get done and outcomesEnsures animal wellbeing and biosecurity protocols are in place and executed consistentlyResponsible for asset management of assigned production unitsResponsible for identifying opportunities and provide solutions to support the overall goals of the systemFosters cross-functional relationships with peers to ensure compliance and achieve optimal operational efficiencies to support all company objectives including:?Environmental ComplianceSite care / groundsAsset ManagementSafetyHuman ResourcesAnimal Well Being & ComplianceFeed OrderingBiosecurity / FiltrationSupply ChainHealthContract GrowerIdentifies strengths and gaps in the farms. ?Collaborate with peers and those doing the work on problem solving. Provide coaching and training to promote the complete ownership of the siteBe fully competent in CF Standard Operating Procedures (Production and non-production)Make decisions with consideration of impacts to and involvement of other departments. Excellent communication skills and ability to connect and motivate others as well as build solid working relationships with internal and external partners.Basic computer skills/knowledge required.Apply for this job.
