Position Summary:The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for all operations at the wellness center including, but not limited to, facility and equipment maintenance, staff and instructor scheduling, wellness center communications, and wellness center costs. Job Responsibilities: Oversee all wellness facility operationsManage group fitness platform including scheduling classes and instructors, class and event promotion, and management of programming materialProactively identify wellness promotion strategies and assist in the implementation and ongoing success of wellness promotion activitiesFollow best practices in wellness center operations and provide recommendations for improvementsEstablish and track metrics to measure effectiveness of wellness center and programs (i.e., utilization, trends and demographics)Monitor safety/security issues for all wellness center usersAssist wellness manager in leading special projectsCoordinate CPR/AED training for staff and instructorsRed Cross blood drive and mobile mammogram coordination
Job Requirements: BA/BS Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent preferred3-5 years relevant work experience Knowledge of fitness facilities, equipment, and operations.Knowledge of the Microsoft Office SuiteProfessional communication skills Analytical skills, problem solving ability, attention to detail and people management skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to work alone or in a team environment, with various types of peopleAbility to adapt to varying work environmentsBackground/experience in exercise science or fitness is desired.Benefits experience is preferred; personal training and/or group exercise instruction is potential in this position, depending on background and experience.Project management experience is a plus.
