Huntsville, AL Where the Chemistry Happens Our mission in Mobile Emissions Catalysts Group is to partner with our researchers to service the global automotive OEM marketplace. We accomplish this by providing high quality, reliable data and solutions. The Wet Chemistry Elemental Analysis lab is a high volume and fast paced group, providing accurate elemental analysis in reasonable time. We are seeking a professional like you to support the site in preparation and testing of precious metal and base metal oxide samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) analysis. Information produced is vital for BASF, helping researchers develop new and better materials through the understanding of associated instrumentation and the relationships to process, quality and control. Formula for Success ? Leveraging your educational background in Analytical Chemistry or other technical discipline, combined with your work experience in catalyst processes, analytical method improvement, and quality control practices, you will analyze samples by classical solids, Leco solids and particle size.A strong background in Analytics, with attention to process improvement projects and analytical methods, will be a valued asset as you identify and evaluate best practices.? Your strong attention to detail will be essential as you identify opportunities for optimizing calibrations, standards, sample preparation and coordination of improvement efforts with production. You will also identify and escalate any inadequacies in analytical process or standards (HLP's, SOP's, Work Instructions) through the site's Analytical Manager.? Demonstrating your years of analytical experience, you will work with the acceptance, preparation and analysis by ICP of samples supporting the catalyst processes and site departmental requirements.Your robust written/interpersonal communication, technical, and organizational skills will serve you well as you work closely with other departments (accounting, waste water treatment, slurry prep, etc.) to support their analytical needs.
